About the Program
Our Community Association Management Internship Program is designed to provide hands-on experience and professional development for individuals interested in building a long-term career in community association management. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn the fundamentals of managing homeowners’ associations (HOAs), condominiums, and master-planned communities while working closely with experienced portfolio managers and support teams.
The goal of this program is to prepare interns for a transition into a full-time Community Association Portfolio Manager role upon successful completion.
Responsibilities
During the internship, participants will:
- Assist in daily community management operations, including vendor coordination, homeowner communications, and maintenance tracking.
- Support meeting preparation and follow-up, such as drafting agendas, compiling management reports, and attending board meetings alongside a mentor manager.
- Learn financial and administrative processes, including budget preparation, invoice review, and financial statement interpretation.
- Gain exposure to governing documents, compliance enforcement, and architectural review procedures.
- Observe and participate in client relationship management, including resident engagement and board support.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally with accounting, service providers, and internal teams to ensure seamless community operations.
- Participate in professional development sessions on leadership, communication, and the principles of community management (based on CAI/EOS frameworks, if applicable).

Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Real Estate, Communications, or a related field
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Interest in property or community management as a career path
- Ability to handle confidential information and work in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required for site visits)
